ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Backend Developer, you will architect, build, and maintain server-side systems that power our platform. You’ll work closely with the founding team and frontend engineers to ensure seamless integrations, high performance, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable, secure backend systems and APIs.
- Architect and implement REST/GraphQL endpoints for platform features.
- Manage and optimize databases (SQL/NoSQL) for speed and reliability.
- Integrate third-party services like payments, CRMs, and communication tools.
- Ensure robust authentication, authorization, and data security.
- Monitor system health, debug issues, and improve performance.
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams to align technical requirements.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with backend frameworks: Node.js/Express, Django, or Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Python/Go a plus).
- Solid database skills in PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Understanding of caching, distributed systems, and system design principles.
- Knowledge of authentication (OAuth, JWT, SSO).
- Familiarity with Git workflows and Agile methodologies.
- Startup/early-stage experience is a plus.
