ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with 1–5 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both manual and automation testing, a solid understanding of modern QA methodologies, and proficiency with the latest testing tools and frameworks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and environments.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
- Conduct API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Perform performance and load testing using JMeter, K6, Gatling.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Linear.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript.
- Experience with API testing tools: Postman, REST Assured, Newman.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools: JMeter, K6, Gatling, LoadRunner.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git / GitHub / GitLab.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools: Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Azure Test Plans.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks: Cucumber, SpecFlow.
- Experience with mobile testing on iOS and Android.
- Understanding of security testing principles and tools.
- Experience with test data management and database testing.
