ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer with 1–5 years of experience in Node.js to design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database management, cloud services, and API development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js.
  • Implement database schemas and optimize queries for performance.
  • Integrate third-party services and payment gateways.
  • Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js framework.
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript and asynchronous programming.
  • Extensive experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB and NoSQL database design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Proficiency with cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB.
  • Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with API design, versioning, and documentation (Swagger / OpenAPI).
  • Understanding of authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth 2.0, session management).
  • Version control expertise with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Server.
  • Knowledge of message queues (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, AWS SQS).
  • Familiarity with Redis for caching and session management.
  • Experience with serverless architecture and AWS Lambda.
  • Understanding of WebSockets and real-time communication (Socket.io).
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, CloudWatch).
